Cecil Beaton Cecil Beaton was born in England in 1904. Now a household name he was reputedly bullied by Evelyn Waugh at prep school. He was photographer to British Vogue, American Vogue and Vanity Fair and it was in this capacity and that of a privately commissioned photographer that he captured the faces of the Bright Young Things of 1920s and '30s America. Cecil Beaton's first solo exhibition was in London, 1927 and since then there have been countless exhibitions of Beaton's work around the globe. |
