Lina Scheynius – New Work

Lina Scheynius pictures feels like fragments from a stormy dream; you fall into a secret wardrobe, tumble around in high speed, in lightning and neon, it blackens out, you calm down, wake up and the only thing you recall is still images.

Perhaps Lina is using her photography to create an autonomous world for her to live in. If that is the case it is a quite uncompromising and interesting approach to life. As if you are dictating your own rules and regulations, wrap it up in your favorite suit and then make the changes you want. You might even find others who like your world and want to be a part of it. There are many artist who are talking about themselves in their artwork, so does Lina, but she is also one of those who manages to create an own world.
